Android is an operating system (OS) of a smart phone which invented by Google. (OS) is used to operates the mobile phone”.
The Android operating system was first developed by Android, Inc., a software company located in Silicon Valley before Google acquired it in 2005. The first Android-powered device launched in the marketplace 23 september in 2008.

Alpha version 1.0

A very early version 1.0 of a software product that may not contain all of the features that are planned for the final version. The software goes through two stages of testing before it is considered finished. The first stage, called alpha. Alpha version launched in 23/september/2008.

Beta version 1.1

A pre release of software that is given out to a n number group of users to try under real conditions. The Beta versions has comes through alpha testing inhouse and are generally similarly close in look, feel and function to the final product; however, design changes often occur as a result. Beta version has launched in February/2009.

Cupcake version 1.5

Cupcake is the codename of android version. Cupcake is the third version of android, developed by Google. Cupcake, based on version 2.6.27 of the Linux kernel, is also known as Android 1.5 and it was officially released on April 30, 2009.

Donut version 1.6

Donut 1.6 is the 4th version of Android mobile operating system(OS). This version is developed by Google. The Camera and gallery interfaces have been improved and camera usage speed has been made much quicker and more responsive. There’s also the ability to select multiple photos in the gallery for deletion. Donut version has launched in september/2009

Eclair version 2.0/2.1

Eclair is the fifth version of android device. It is developed by Google, and published by Google in October 2009, Eclair didn’t change the base Linux kernel from the previous 1.6 Donut build. Eclair added exchange email support and it has the ability to combine multiple account inboxes.

The Bluetooth support was upgraded to version 2.1, the contact cards were made more intuitive the users could now tap a contact and be presented with call, text, email and many more of other communication options.

The Messaging system was updated with a search function, allowing you to search through both SMS and MMS messages.
